Daragh received a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Limerick and a Masters of Economic Science from National University of Ireland, Galway.

Daragh's research topic is on the economics of tertiary education in Ireland: redistribution, rates of return and finance options. His research supervisor is Dr. Cathal O'Donoghue.
