Breda Lally’s research interests include agricultural and environmental economics. She has worked on a EU funded agricultural research project with other European institutions and has undertaken research for Teagasc and the Department of Agriculture and Food. She is currently conducting research into how different policy instruments can be used to control pollution from agriculture and what impact these may have on farm incomes.

Breda Lally is based in St. Angela’s College, Sligo where she teaches Economics on the undergraduate BA (Economic & Social Studies) programme offered by NUI Galway in partnership with St. Angela’s College, Sligo. She was the course co-ordinator for this programme from August 2002 to July 2004.
